For more than a decade, The Villages High School boys basketball program has established itself as one of Florida’s premier high school basketball powers. Built on toughness, discipline, and a relentless team-first mentality, the Buffalo have become a model of sustained success and high-level player development throughout the Sunshine State. Led by LSU signee Herly Brutus (2026), a two-way player that is comfortable on the perimeter or in the post and can guard any position, the Buffalo are set up for success. Joining Brutus is the dynamic duo of Aaron Britt, Jr. (2027) and Jomar Bernard (2027) whose combination of shot-creating and fast-paced play will overwhelm defenses. Air Force signee Ethan Bevis (2026), Miles Simpson (2028), and Kymani Weathers (2026) will also be relied on for consistent play on both ends of the court. Cam Lee (2029) and Zayden Garcia (2029) are two Freshmen who will also be given an opportunity to shine.
The Buffalo have compiled a national schedule this year with matchups against in-state powerhouses IMG Academy, Montverde Academy, and Oak Ridge. They will also make their first appearance in the main bracket of the City of Palms Classic, facing off against St. John Bosco (CA) in the first round. The Villages is looking to make their way back to avenge their fall in the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship game last season.
