Last season, the Upper Arlington Golden Bears clawed their way through the 4th-toughest schedule in Ohio to a 14-10 record and a Division 1 Central District Championship. The 2025-2026 team will feature a returning backcourt and five lettermen overall. Hayden Henry (2026) returns to build on his All-League Special Mention honors from a season ago. The combo guard brings excellent quickness and court vision along with 8.4 points per game back from last season. His backcourt mate, Luke Mitchell (2027), led the team in three point shooting and was second in assists. Charlie Hunt (2028) was a defensive standout as a freshman and he will expand his impact in his second year.
The upcoming season for the Golden Bears features one of the most challenging schedules in recent memory. Non-league foes include Walnut Ridge in The Battle in the 614 at Ohio Dominican University, New Albany in the 5-C Classic at Capital University, a home date with St. Francis DeSales, and trips to Pickerington North, Hilliard Dary, and Grove City. The Bears will also travel to Dayton for the prestigious Flyin’ to the Hoop classic in January. The OCC-Central will feature reigning state champion Olentangy Orange and a host of other teams returning some of central Ohio’s most talented young players.
